Sondai Fort does not have the proper wall so the tree above the temple is considered as the wall which will always be ready for protection. It provides the view of the surrounded mountains by 360. Trekkers can start their trek from Sondewadi village which is the base village of Sondai Fort.

If by chance your drinking water is not left with you then you don’t have to worry about it as there are 4 water tanks out of which 2 tanks of the water tank are portable. The trail will take an hour of your day to reach the Sondai fort. You should be active and aware while trekking as the rock steps become slippery during the monsoon season. There are two ways to reach the Sondai fort. But if you are trekking during the hot climate then you need to be extra careful as it may drain your energy and the time for the trekking may increase. How to reach
You can choose the Sion-Panvel Expressway or the Eastern Express Highway while you are leaving from Mumbai. If you are coming from Pune then you can also reach this fort but have to change your way two times. You can also choose your vehicles.
